This area of research focuses on the interplay between available forms of energy to support livelihoods and their implications for environmental sustainability and development outcomes in a society.  Researchers explore topical areas that will advance our knowledge of energy efficient technologies and their potential impact in achieving environmental sustainability and social development.  The goal is to chart a research agenda for a better understanding of the nexus between energy, environment, and sustainable development.
